- Possums are not native to China or new Zealand. Australia is correct but they can also be native to New Guinea and parts of Indonesia.
- Certain species of possums like the ringtail can have partially hairless tails.
- When comparing to Australia's most common possum (Brushtail, max 4.5kg), the Virginia opossum is bulkier but has roughly the same body length. The largest possum (Bear Cuscus is nearly twice as big)
- Sources vary but it's clear there are significantly more opossum species than possum species.Possums species are much more distinct though.

I've changed my mind - I just remembered The 'Zizians' cult. They are absolutely the strangest group I've ever heard about.
I've always found puritanical groups quite interesting. They seem to evolve out of any subculture be it religious or not. Take the 'straight edge' culture, a group of hardcore punk kids who rebelled against the excesses of the punk underground and swear an oath against drinking, drugs and casual sex.
On the religious front you have groups like the shakers. An offshoot of the quakers whose utopian vision prohibited all sex. As a consequence the movement all but died out as they couldn't reproduce to create new members!
The 3rd party app-ocalypse made me create an account here but it was the reddit ads that eventually made me quit the Reddit app. At some point I realised more of my feed was taken up by autoplay video ads than actual content. The slow decline in intelligent conversations really accelerated after they killed the apps too.
So far I like it here, there's less content and that can be a bit disappointing but it's probably healthier that I can't scroll endlessly. It's also nice to feel like your posts don't get buried under a torrent of other content the moment you make them.
