Smelly is, as far as I know, still sober. As is Hefe. I think Melvin is still using occasionally, and Mike does what the winds advise.

Book is fantastic. The audiobook is hard to get through because they narrate it themselves, and it really drives home how much at odds they have been for a while now. There’s what’s not said in the inflection of their voices that makes it hit different than reading it did.

The irony of those lyrics being that the reason NOFX aren’t touring anymore is because Mike can’t do it without being really high and super drunk.

But completely agree with you on music being an avenue for op to explore.

Greek yoghurt. I can smell a container of it from across a room. I don’t hate it, but I can’t sleep in a room with a cup that hasn’t been rinsed out after being eaten.

Nah. Let him split the conservatives up.

In this case it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the DNC. New York allows him to continue to run despite losing the primary because he already qualified to be on the ballot.

It’s dumb, because he’s already conceded the primary, and he knows doing so is divisive, but the silver lining is that New York has ranked choice voting, at least.

A rent-a-cop likely has an even bigger inferiority complex, and is potentially more dangerous, for one. Being unable to become a real cop is like being unable to win a staring contest against yourself in a mirror.

A man impersonating a pig, at least.

He’s doing it because he wants to show fealty to his tangerine deity. States can overreach, too, but at least Abbot doesn’t need to falsely claim the presence of an insurrection to trample on his constituents’ rights.

Because of course he is. Russophobia my ass, this dude is just another puppet with Putin’s hand lodged squarely up his ass.

This headline sucks. I thought this was going to be something regulatory, but it’s just businesses making decisions based on their demand forecasts.

I wouldn’t want to travel to the US for anything other than business needs right now either, so as demand has dropped the airlines need to refocus on routes that are increasing in demand. This is basic business acumen.

It’s the QTE debate all over again. If it’s a forced mechanic, meaning there’s no alternative than to learn the pattern and parry effectively, I agree with this guy that it sucks. But I haven’t seen many games where that’s the case.

Modern accessibility standards seem to be doing a better job of making games enjoyable by a wider range of players, giving options to disable QTEs entirely on one end, or offering alternative solutions to fights besides mastery of timing dependent actions on the other.

*because that’s what the prompt they were testing was designed to elicit.

Found this post super informative as it relates to Mastodon, and thought Lemmy might also benefit from this perspective. I'm not sure I share his optimism, but his points seem sound to dampen some of the alarm bells over Meta joining the Fediverse.
