Imagine my (mild) shock after doing my own brakes for 30 years and then coming upon this tidfbit of knowledge JUST after buying parts for my truck.
For anyone else navigating all the misinfo around doing this on a ford truck:
Set the ignition to ON.
Press and hold the accelerator pedal and place the electronic parking brake (EPB) switch in the APPLY (upward) position. Continue to hold the accelerator pedal and the electronic parking brake EPB switch.
Firmly press the brake pedal for at least 1 second. Release the brake pedal while continuing to hold the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch.
Set the ignition to OFF then set the ignition to ON within 5 seconds, then release the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch.
Almost everyone here could create a local bot that just scrapes URLs and dumps them here from anywhere. We don't because the people here, by and large, still place intrinsic value on things shared by a human.
To me - This is not a dumping ground for random links. It is a place where PEOPLE saw something interesting and shared it themselves.
I think you've nailed it when you mentioned the bit about removing personality. I get this feeling a lot from folks who complain about florid language or even just about writing style in general. When you ask them to make it a better piece, it seems fairly common to get back something that's without any of that messy human stuff like personality. and that's fine, but that type of writing exists and not all writing needs to be like that.
The sentiment is 'fuck reddit'. putting up a bot to bring that shithole closer to tihe fediverse will result in a change of sentiment to 'fuck this bot.'
If you like reddit that is your choice. Go there as well. but don't try to force that onto people who came here to get away from there just so you have one less click.

Even just simplifying anarchism to dictionary terms can help a bit. Anarchy means 'no hierarchy'.
Whether that be claimed natural hierarchy (religions, monarchy, patriarchy), financial (oligarchy, plutocracy), or governmental (police/military.)
The basic tenet is 'We are all equal". That is how anarchism is pro-worker, because in a system like this, we are all working towards the common goal of minimizing suffering. It is impossible to be an anarchist and not also be 'for' the working class.
I wish I could say that I didn't think this would happen when I asked. I was pleasantly surprised, saw it was limited, then figured the shitheels would claw it back.
