But he survived, and that is a good thing. He was a bit of a white supremacist, but given he was president before WW1 it is hard to be really angry about that.

This is why privacy rights are critical. All the whiners who say "buh whaddabout da guilty ones?' Shut up, those people get away constantly despite all that shit and the only people getting harassed are protesters and activists.
James Garfield was also very open minded... and yes, he fits in those two.
That's why I would rather spend on a pricier one. Also I have no idea what an RMA is and I would rather blowtorch the SSD than do that.
That's why it was manageable and not debilitating.
Ever since 2018 I have been getting a flu shot every year, too. Why? In 2018 I had the worst flu ever. It was BAD. Arguably worse than even the one time I got covid in 2022 (despite being twice vaccinated for that at the time). The horror of that flu made me never want to get the flu again.
I did... but it was never that bad.
OK someone keep me up to date... what happened? I think the last civilization I played was 5, and I dont recall that one being able to change civilizations midgame.
Edit: sorry last one I played was 6. And I don't remember being forced fo change civs. Was it in a DLC or what?
I remember many years ago (like in 2016 or 2017) a Japanese fascist railed at me that they dont want millions of blacks in their country... I found his writing style to he very Japanese. In that he was saying stupid and abhorrent stuff, but was still very polite in that he was saying please in places you wouldn't expect to find in such a speech.
Even more recently Korean nationals are really hating on black people... like why? There are barely any in their country and those that are aren't some ghetto gangsters. They are the wealthier and more educated blacks.
More surveillance doesnt mean more safety. The US's murder resolution rate is 50% despite more surveillance than most countries. Even New York City, a place with an ungodly number of city controlled cameras and even more private cameras STILL has a murder resolution rate of around 50% as well.
And the resolution means a person is arrested and charged. It does not mean convicted. I don't know how often charges are dropped due to changes or acquittals or having a conviction overturned later due to any number of factors. All this means the percentage of solved murders is probably even less.
Seeing a politician behave in a manner that was seen as unthinkable even a few years prior does a lot to change what people think is possible.
The surveillance bills and alleged 'strong borders' shit that only exposes more and more Canadians to surveillance by foreign enemies is just utter shit. I nearly threw up when I learned about Bill C-2.
I am going to save that quote. My current favorite is still from Terry Pratchett.
"Cheery was aware that Commander Vimes didn't like the phrase 'The innocent have nothing to fear', believing the innocent had everything to fear, mostly from the guilty but in the longer term even more from those who say things like 'The innocent have nothing to fear'"
