I think united states is envious of chairman Mao and wants to have their own cultural revolution too. Already had the military parade that outshone that of President Xi. Now have to outdo him in killing academics and intellectuals.

As an amateur history reader, particularly the late Roman Empire (Byzantium), i found this fascinating. Favourite phrase? the “protestantianisation of Islam!”

Isnt that the intent? leave the new industries to China and Europe so united states can become steam punk. Fortunately 40% of united states voters approve big time

lots of folks in my circle also boycotting american products and services. in the cross hairs here are Amazon, Google, any american food, booze, clothing, cars, etc. Most in my circle dont watch american news. its depressing to see a country descend into third world status so quickly

I imagine some portion of those people who are the ‘expensive to treat’ types, would take advantage of “assisted departure” methods if they were available. The problem is likely to be the Christian Ideology that believes people should suffer to the end as ‘ god intended ‘.

Does this mean that any Floridians could be infectious disease carriers? In your next meeting in a big city (Washington?, LA?, Chicgo? Etc) the person next to you or in the plane you arrived on, could be a carrier. So gloves and masks will become de rigueur atire!

This is a very interesting read. I have been sitting on a decision to either go batteries to reduce my own demand on the grid versus a VPP. This article helps explain why VPPs are another way for corporations to get consumers to pay for infrastructure. Just like how banks need you to have a phone to be able to partake in the payments infrastructure. In my country banks are closing atms and branches.

A couple of interesting developments this week:

  • Albanese declares its still ok for american and middle east resource giants to take Australian resources without paying for them.
  • Albanese says its ok that youth of today cant afford to buy homes and that negative gearing and capital gains tax discounts will remain for short stay accommodation landlords getting tax handouts.
  • Regulators cowtow to american and middle east resources giants and give them what they want.
  • Giant LNG storage tank leaks. Regulators have done nothing for 18 years. Companies asked to edit reports before regulatory actions.
  • Mineral sands company forces farmers off their land in the Wimmera.
  • Albanese and Marles (reference Aukus subs disaster) told by americans to commit to fighting China over Taiwan even though the mericans maintain “strategic ambiguity”

At what point do we decide that neither side of politics is doing us any good?

Looka a lot like Albanese has
