A right to remain silent. A right to a competent attorney regardless of ability to pay. A right to due process. A right to a timely trial by a jury of peers. A right to healthy food, shelter, healthcare, and other accommodations while incarcerated. I'm probably missing a few.

Universal healthcare might help but it is also--

1. Auto accidents driven by car culture.
2. Higher drug and alcohol abuse rates.
3. Higher suicide rates driven by access to firearms.
4. A culture of unhealthy eating that leads to obesity, heart disease, and increased risk of cancer.

If you were to try to argue their view, I think they would say that their only problem is when you exhibit immortal behavior. Their definition of immoral behavior isn't the only historic definition but is certainly a prominent one.
