I'm not 100% sure, but I do know at least at the grocery store, every nondairy option is more expensive. Probably just sending the cost to the customer.
It’s kind of bullshit though. Plants have a shorter process to get from harvest to shelf than any animal product.
But milk is mass produced and subsided by the government.
This is true. It’s really quite revolting that we pay taxes to fund animal exploitation.
