The Moomins is a franchise created by finnish author/illustrator Tove Jansson. It features a vast amount of comics, TV series, movies, books and games, telling various stories mostly set in moominvalley.

In the TV series, her arc is that her anger hides her sadness, because her nephew, Moominpappa, relentlessly avoids her.
He does this because she always makes everything about money. She is very rich, and wants to teach Moominpappa about how to manage a fortune, before passing it all on to him in her inheritance.
He couldn't care less about money, and finds the idea of becoming rich nothing but stressful.
She should adopt Sniff then. While he has more questionable morals, his love and interest in money makes me think he could be quite financially savvy, with a bit of training.
