$20 mil is pocket change for this guy. Elon makes ~$100 million in his sleep. The richest people are so wealthy that they can't even spend it all.

I said similar on bluesky, glad at least Lemmy folks get it. Guy "earns" 4 million per hour mostly by existing. $20 million the equivalent of one of us donating 100 bucks to the Harris campaign or something, which is extremely depressing.

Well sure, but I think the point is $20 million, which is a crazy campaign fund for a state supreme court election, wasn't enough to win. Some analysts are saying his involvement might've hurt more than helped

If musk can't primary Republicans or effectively buy elections, what use is he? It's not like anyone likes the guy...
