We'll just have to see how quickly we get a working emulator.

Ryubing (a fork of Ryujinx) is very good, so hopefully we'll see something stem from that.

The switch itself isn’t the big issue when fucking Mario Cart costs 80€ (90€ if physical)

Yeah, the console itself is reasonable for a portable machine with relatively weak specs, although I’m not really interested in any more locked down devices at this point, especially after being spoiled by the Steam Deck and being able to run whatever I want on it. The game prices could probably be overlooked if the prices for games decreased over time, but we all know that won’t happen.

In the article you shared, it’s explicitly stated that multilingual switch 2 in Japan is “roughly $473”, so it can’t be due to tariffs. This is Nintendo being greedy. If they can sell the same unit for $330, why do they need to ask $120 more for another language? Doesn’t make sense at all

Can't blame trump for this when Canada's msrp is $629/$699 for the bundle.

It's unfortunately true. I was prepared to spend up to $400 for it, but the extra $50 hurts. The $70+ games put the final nail in the coffin. Maybe I'll be compelled to bite the bullet and get a Switch 2 after some more games come out, but for now I'll stick to Switch 1 and PC.

Yeah, I'm really excited for three of the games, but can't justify the purchase at launch. I'll probably look into it for sometime next year.

(I'm waiting for the Valve Deckard as my next big purchase lol)

Do you know why they call it an Xbox 360?

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 day ago

Cuz you switch 360 to a cheaper hobby

[–] [email protected] 1 points 18 hours ago

cuz u make a 360° turn n end up facing the same direction so nothin changes?

Honestly I did. I got away from video games and got a dirt bike. Much better hobby. Still expensive but hell it's a lot more fun. I still have my PS plus subscription for those few games I want access to but honestly I'm probably gonna cancel that
