In March 2023, Tesla applied for licenses to open four dealerships in the state. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation denied the request because of the state law forbidding direct car sales to consumers.

[out of order to make it make sense]

“It is no coincidence that Elon Musk started spending that money within days of Tesla filing a lawsuit in Wisconsin,” Judge Crawford said during a televised debate this month.

We're counting on you Wisconsin to embarrass this dumbshit and waste his money. (At least someone in the state is getting millions)

When the worst person you know makes a good point. There’s no reason to prohibit direct car sales to consumers except lobbying by car dealerships. Still, fuck Elon, he’s much worse than a car salesman.

The manufacturers actually quite like offloading the challenge of selling cars to the dealerships. They force the dealerships to buy their inventory on loan, and reap quite the profit. I remember that one manufacturer made a full third of its profit solely by the interest paid by dealerships who have vehicles sitting on the showroom floor.

Then it makes sense why Elon wouldn't want to use that model. He's too dumb to understand it.
