Overall it was a pretty comfy show. The animation was great at showing cute moments and incredibly stiff in the fights.
Honestly flights were the worst part of the show. Boring power system, bad animation. But SoL stuff kept me hooked. Alina's personality and her interactions with Silver Swords were really great.
Kinda hoping for season 2 but if it doesn't happen I won't mind.

I had similar feelings. The moe moments and Rie Takahashi's VA work were definitely the highlights of the show for me. When the show tried to get serious, it never really connected for me and the back half of the season felt like a big drop compared to the first. I kind of doubt this is getting a season 2, but there are plenty of worse shows that have. At least it gave us a great OP and ED as well as some great Rie Takahashi shouting moments.

They really outdid themselves in OP and ED. I feel like those serious moments could get carried by better animation/direction.
Also yeah Rie Takahashi is the MVP.

This anime was very meh. The serious stuff just didn't work at all with the gimmick of her wanting to clock out on time. In fact, it made Alina seem like an awful person, but not in a comedic way. In a Konosuba kind of way, her gimmick would be funny. In a generic isekai like this, it's dumb, annoying and, well, gimmicky. The serious stuff wasn't very good in general. Very tacked on.

It doesn't deserve its OP. That effort is wasted here.

This is not an isekai. At least they managed to fabricate a fantasy setting without trying to pack that trope also.

Oh yeah, you're right. Generic fantasy and generic isekai have a lot of overlap, so sometimes they're the same thing to me

the gimmick of her wanting to clock out on time

I feel like they could have done so much more with this. It was what, episode 2 before basically all the main characters knew that Alina was The Executioner? The whole keeping her identity a secret while still knocking out bosses to save herself work I think had a lot of potential. However, it was abandoned almost immediately with the one exception of her fellow receptionist crushing on her doll.
