You always have an option to not buy. But Apple fanboys or those not "smart" enough buy that crap because it has the best compatibility whatever that means

LMAO, Apple's website says it's compatible with the air pods pro max.

Did they just list everything with a USBC port, like technically it fits?

The cable is an ADC too, I don’t know if it’s a DAC. It means that it will work the other way round
