I wonder if I'll live long enough to witness the Rust rewrite of ReactOS

(it's written in C and has had a snail pace development, well, since forever. not meant as a negative btw. it's just that their resources and demand for it are quite limited afaik)

Maybe they started developing before rust was mainstream. Battle-testing and debugging in the real world matters more than programming language anyways?

huh, I didn't say they should have programmed it in Rust. I was just joking about the meme Rust rewrite like a lot of C/C++ projects

they haven't reached windows xp feature set, as i understand. i think they are around win 2k.

but might become interesting for europe.

once they support old XP printer drivers better then linux drivers are today I would be interested …
