I liked the original even if Renton was a goober. The soundtrack was pretty killer too.

On the one hand, I enjoyed Eureka Seven and would like more of it. On the other hand, I've heard that everything they made after the original series was kinda crap so maybe it's better to let the series rest in peace.

I recently did an E7 rewatch last year and tried to watch the sequels like the movie and AO...

and it was atrocious.

If we want a proper sequel we really need a different studio to pick it up.

I actually did not come around to it until later and I owe a lot of that to the long run order of the show, but alas.

It's understandable, especially with how slow the beginning is. If I'm remembering right the first few episodes are mainly variations on "Watch Renton be a cringe teenager".
