A comment thread in another post brought up this show and kind of revealed that it's a hidden gem not many people know about, so I figured it'd be advantageous to post it here.

Synopsis

In 2033, humans can "upload" themselves into a virtual afterlife of their choosing. When computer programmer Nathan Brown dies prematurely, he is uploaded to the very expensive Lakeview, but then finds himself under the thumb of his possessive, still-living girlfriend Ingrid. As Nathan adjusts to the pros and cons of digital heaven, he bonds with Nora, his living customer service rep. Nora struggles with the pressures of her job, her dying father who does not want to be uploaded, and her growing feelings for Nathan while slowly coming to believe that Nathan was murdered.

Were you just talking about this show in a different thread?

Amazon is a fickle mistress when it comes to scifi TV shows. It seems like so long ago when Bezos personally save The Expanse. I thought that prime studios would usher in a new era so scifi television. But alas, we get 3-7 new series a year that never make it past season 1...... Except for this show. Which is really good. Great writing with some pretty good plot twists

I was, and it inspired this. Thought the show was more widely known, but I guess not.

Yeah, I'm shocked it not only stuck around this whole time but also gets a planned final season (the upcoming fourth one).

Another show I really like was Pantheon. Has some similar subject matter with uploading consciousness. But my got, it was an incredible ride.

I saw Season 1 and quite liked it. This just reminded me to go catch up.
