Unpopular opinion: poori is the far superior bread. Oily yum ball goes pfffffffff

Yeahh I often think how many amazing things the world misses out on which we eat almost every day. Glad to see someone enjoying niche stuff haha

Here in nyc it's available at most Indian restaurants, but for some unknown reason naan is the only bread most people here have ever tried. I order poori every time I eat Indian food

yeah because its the most popular one and people dont know others lol. try out "missi roti" its even crazier. Lot of texture and taste packed in one.

I will do that! Thanks for the tip!

I tell people it's like a cross between a croissant and a tortilla.

Ooooo no, I'll have to try that one too!

You can get it in many varieties. Pair it with some chutney or pickles and you're golden.

Oh noooooooo ^^

lived in Brooklyn in college, down the block from an Indian grocery store. I must have eaten half my weight in frozen chapatis every week after discovering I could perfectly bake them in the toaster oven

I like poori too, goes really well with cholay. Naan is great but fills me up too fast (giggidy).

I prefer roti or rice, but they don’t fit the meme.

I'd say I prefer Chhole Bhature (Bhatura being the competitor to Poori, for the unaware), but me and my father kinda' always say no to Pooris while my mother loves Pooris... uhh, anyway, try Chhole Bhature too sometime. They're huge, softer, and stretchier. Sorry. Thank you.

(There's also Chhole Kulche that nobody in my family says no to, so there's that. Kulcha is more or less just... bread, so there's that. This one is more a street food.)

Thanks! I'll put it on the list!

I'd like some Naan bread with some shrimp scampi and rice pilaf while I drink my Chai Tea...

You'll need to go to the ATM Machine and use your PIN number to access your funds.

With salsa sauce tho, right?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 weeks ago

There is a naan zero chance that I will try it out.

Four naan, Jeremy? Four? That's insane.
