What's next? Are they gonna hack the Tesla network and basically brick all the Teslas?

I'll go grab the popcorn...

Okay, but running a huge online service on the internet means massive cyberattacks happen on days that end with a Y.

He pulled the plug on equipment and fired people who were supposed to handle the problem, didn't he.

Wouldn't be the first time. Did he ever actually fix it from the last time he fucked it up?

Suuuuuuure. I don’t believe that for a second. He’s said that before when Xitter went down, and he was proven to be a liar. Maybe it was this time, but at this point he’s the little boy who cried cyberattack.

Is that 'official'?

I thought they went from chaotic good to chaotic evil around 10 years ago.

There is no "offical" here to begin with. It's a group that's decentralized without any leaders. I.e anyone can claim to it

Media coverage protrays it as much more of a cohesive thing than it is

And bought a dog.

Indeed that's why I had the quote marks myself. I guess a way to word this is that I'm wondering if it's from a source known to align with the group's general actions. (As opposed to just someone trying to make them a personal army, which we all know they are not)

Is the “massive cyberattack” that he ran too many AI agents with the instructions “you are a spineless lickspittle. Praise and upvote Lord Musk at every opportunity.”?

[–] surph_ninja@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Seems like cyber security professionals would call him out if he was making this up. Is the pushback in the comments here a reflexive disbelief of Musk claims, or defense of the attacks coming from Ukraine?

ETA: looks like Cisco is confirming observation of the attack.

  1. Magnetic stickers in the shape of a certain known offensive symbol.

  2. Paper towels cut into the same said shape.

  3. Wet the cut paper towels with a mix of vinegar and salt.

  4. Place the wet paper towel behind the magnetic sticker.

  5. Place the magnet and wet paper towel on the nearest Cyberdump...

And just wait, it won't take long before they notice and remove it, but the vinegar and salt have already started the rust mark...

I also hate when I being targeted by incompetence, worst type of attack, there's nothing you can do about it.
