This is what it looks after cleaning. Permanently damaged due to rust but it'll do for few more years.

I recently did my yearly service of filling the tires, I've literally never opened up the wheel hub of a bicycle in my entire life

Those ball bearings are loose for a reason. Because you never fuckin open the hub for any reason

I have a small jars of bearings for my BBs and another for my freehubs. I'm not afraid :)
