Post guidelines

Title formatPost title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL formatPost URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefixOpinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefixCountry prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

Chromecast stopped working on me today, thought my device died but turns out it's widespread. Thought I'd share in case anyone else came looking for answers.

My Google Streamer has been working without any issues., FWIW.

I may have to switch to something else if they've intentionally bricked the chromecast. It definitely won't be a Google product though if this turns out to be intentional. If anyone has any recommendations, I'm all ears.

I've got a 2nd gen that I'm hoping they'll patch. It sounds like it's an expired security certificate across the board. These usually aren't a hard fix to push out and Google had stated to support existing Chromecasts for the near future.

It's just the 2nd gen and the audio devices. They are working on a fix.

This work-around worked for me if anyone else needs it. It's a bit cumbersome but beats buying a new device. Hopefully Google pushes out a fix.
