Drugs and gaming get along real nice.

[–] garbagebagel@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not for me. If I try smoke or drink before playing a game I'm right out. Gaming's actually what kept me sober for a long while.

But now games aren't fun and I'm done with life so I just drink and smoke and watch television or go to sleep like a perfectly normal depressed person.

I played 10 games of premier in cs2 last night while gobbling edibles like cookie monster and I win 8 of the games.

There should be a fourth panel where you're holding onto gaming and start looking at depression .... to complete the cycle

Nah then you get to the fork in the road meme where its either depression or "working out"

Most of my gym buddies are either people who were fit their entire lives and this is just their happy place or people who are there because they need to have an addiction and this one doesnt kill them slowly.

Don't forget social media. :)

That!

That's what is missing to close the loop back into depression!

After gambling finally cured them from depression?

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Can't have depression if your entire day is consumed by worrying about your next meal...

[–] lugal@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 year ago

Sounds very not depressing to me...

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Damn, then I guess I have had an orgy.

Have they always been the same woman?

Horrible cycle of addiction. Even earn you know the addition is pointless you still want it. Frustrating but as you keep breaking out of cycles it gets easier.
