Yes, my understanding is that they're irredeemable. They are often the people in power because they bully their way up.
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD)
Ironically there is a German neo-nazi party that was abbreviated NPD until they where renamed in 2023 to The Homeland. Yes, that pathetic name is their official name.
Can we still call it a disorder when it seems to have become basically expected?
It is a broader pathology of our society that rewards this sort of destructive behavior
