The kernel itself is not even "C" anymore, as they are using compiler-specific functions.

And Linus already writes C++ code

Lol, the dude who made the thread just hates Rust and will grab at any straws to build his case against it. One dude in LKML suggests C++, gets told "ain't gonna happen" and the rust-hater turns into "being discussed". It's clickbait.
