I like the idea of such a federated platform but I'd love it to have a deeper integration in existing federated ecosystems.

At the moment, my feeling is that too many new concepts and platforms are being built in parallel. Especially in face of the still relatively small total user base. Would be cool if you could use the same account for Lemmy/Mastodon/Pixelfed/Flohmarkt and have a deeper integration between the platforms, e.g. subscriptions to Flohmarkt categories so they appear in your Lemmy feed or local stuff being automatically linked to local communities.

Isn't this the case per FAQ? I was curious about this too so I went looking and it says:

Do I need an account on OWF to contact a seller?

If you have already an account in the fediverse: No, just use your URL handle to reply to an item. Otherwise you can always register an account on the flohmarkt of your choice.

Ah, interesting. But if I click on sign in, it asks me for a username/ password. So there I can just enter my Lemmy credentials? And if so, wouldn't that be a security concern to share my password with that other server?

Hmm, that's a valid question. Unfortunately one I cannot answer.

It seems to be limited to leaving comments. At the bottom of each classified ad is a field to enter your fediverse username. That then brings you to the login page of your instance. But I get an error after logging in so it might not be supported by Lemmy yet.

Lemmy is often the odd one out in the Fediverse - have you tried a Mastodon account?
