I'd it from an old pic that happened to be good quality? I'd guess about 1978, may 1980/81 when there were some big storms from Michigan to the Atlantic, and that seems to be an Arkansas plate, on a 1975 or later GM, in very good shape (no obvious damage/rust).

it does look like a '78-81 malibu from what little you can see.

we had a couple of those, one was new when i was a kid, and a real rusted-up shitbox later when i was a teen driver.

out of state, traveling north....

yea, there was some uh, 'significant snowfall events' in the early 1980s in minnesota.. ones around holidays, too, between christmas and new years in '82, and around thanksgiving in '83 & '85. but the real humdinger was mid-january '82. that one drifted snow up to the roof of our house.
