I'm giving my $200 vote buying cheque to my local hospital for their CT machine campaign. That's where my tax dollars should have gone in the first place not to trying to buy an election.

I hope people actually go out and vote this guy out this time.

I wish.. Doesn't seem likely but I'm hoping for knocking him down to minority government.

He’s insanely popular, anything less than an absolute majority would be an upset

She's not going to win if no one uses her name. MERIT STILES.

I don't see why he needs a new mandate for the next two years.

He already has a strong majority, running an election now actually decreases his strength during a key period of the Trump administration.

I think he's hoping to capitalize on the current good press and the fear of what Trump will do to make himself look good and get another 4 years (ie gaining 2 more years).

Isn't he also trying to beat the RCMP investigation into the Greenbelt scandal?

Also to get in front of the 7,000 jobs wipeout the now inevitable closing of Brewer's Retail will cause, because the $225 million(!) he gave them to stay open is only until the end of 2025
