A lot of this kind of thing is an interesting or silly idea played out, and while this is that, it’s also surprisingly accomplished. He’s somehow got inflection and emotion into his playing in the hard drives. That’s not a sentence I’ve said before, and probably won’t again!

The editing is magical. That long shot of the scanner. The waveshaping on the oscilliscope during the solo. Toward the end, the close-ups of logos are somehow a frisson engine.

It’s such an odd video, but so full of finesse and skill, a really bizarre treat isn’t it?!
