Apologies for not doing the legwork myself, but what's that work out to a year? Feels like a massive windfall of income to, oh idk, pay teachers more or provide housing to those who need it.

It was legalized ~8 years ago in New York, so if I’m not mistaken, that would be about $125 million per year on average ($1 billion / 8 years).
