Anime characters who are partly, or entirely, technological. Or from works featuring sci-fi/cyberpunk/steampunk settings.

  1. Posts must feature "cyber moe". That is, anime characters who are cyborgs, robots, or very obviously from the future. Science fiction, cyberpunk, and even steampunk.
  2. No nudity. Lewd art is fine, but mark it NSFW.
  3. If posting a more suggestive piece, or one with simply a lot of skin, consider still marking it NSFW.
  4. Include a link to the artist in post body, if you can
  5. AI Generated content is not allowed.
  6. Positivity only. No shitting on the art, the artists, or the fans of the art/artist.
  7. Finally, all rules of the parent instance still apply, of course.

SauceNao can be used to effectively reverse search the creator of a piece, if you do not know it.

You may also leave the post body blank or mention @[email protected], in which case the bot will attempt to find and provide the source in a comment.

Rollerball, bitches!

So many cyberpunk stories try to have some violent and dangerous sport to represent the amorality of the world they’re set in. Battle Angel is one of the few that did it well.

Ido: “It’s a setup! They’re going to kill you!”

Alita: “Which ones?”

Ido: “All of them!”

There's a lot more motorball in the manga. She has a full-on carreer in the sport.

Moterball, thank you. Read everything (Battle Angel & Last Order) translated years and years ago. Been thinking about collecting the Japanese versions.

I respect the American movie for actually letting us see her play. And it adapted the manga pretty well. Sadly, the original OVAs that introduced me to Battle Angel in the first place never got to that part. I always find myself hoping for an Anime reboot. I hear those are all the rage lately.
