I did my A Level project up in that neck of the woods, not sure if I've ever been there but we got talking to a local ranger and he took us up into the hills in his Land Rover to a great viewpoint over the area and it's like a "green desert" - vast and not even a road in sight.

The Teifi Pools are a set of glacial lakes and reservoirs around 1,500ft above sea level just out of the small village of Pontrhydfendigaid and have been described as being "so remote you might be on the moon".
Yeah... No. This is Wales we're talking about. Nowhere in Wales is "remote". LOL! It takes what? Several hours to get there from the parking lot? By foot? 🤣
Remote is Tristan da Cunha or St. Matthew Island in Alaska (which, in winter does feel like you're on the moon).
