Two other fun facts:

As I understand it, the Red Dragon is a symbol of explicit defiance, of the British especially -- one of whose undermentioned exports from that era, alongside slavery and colonialism, is Puritanism.
A 2021 petition made the Welsh news, wherein it is demanded to update the flag to give the dragon a penis. (https://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/19542154.demand-welsh-dragon-penis-flags/). I personally prefer Anthro over Feral, but you do you Wales ✊
