I grew up with all French comics and cartoons, and it's so weird watching native englishers call like Tintin's dog "Snowy" or call Tintin "Tintin" for that matter.

In Danish the dog's called "Terry" (probably because the translator considered that a cute name for a terrier) and has his profession (🤔) listed as "Astronaut, seaman" on Danish Wikipedia 😄
Huh... I've always thought tintin a the name of a dog but I guess that's rin tin tin and that those are two competly unrelated things. TIL
Are they a female dog in the French version? Or just have a feminine name?
Terry is a gender neutral name

You know what they call a Krabby Patty in Paris?
Un royal avec du fromage
Royal avec du fromage! What do they call a Whopper?
Its still called a whopper but its pronounced "wah-pay" 🤣🤣🤣 (silly joke)
I dunno, I didnt go to burger king!
Un crap paté?
Close enough! It's "pâté de crabe"!
It’s interesting how (for me, at least) “krabby patty” never evoked the idea that Mr Krabs is a cannibal, but somehow the phrase “pâté de crabe” makes that idea inescapable.
It took me embarrassingly long to get this, I thought it was a joke about a mom's affair partner out in public
"No, this is--" damn, I guess that doesn't work here 🤔
Sir, this is the Chum Bucket.
Non, ceci n'est pas une pipe.
