I prefer the original, shitty version from many years ago

I dont want noise cancelling, I want bass boosted

This one makes less sense though given that Bose is THE brand known for ANC. Does Logitech do ANC too?

How do you guys know it's slop? I'm kinda bad at recognizing

[–] HereIAm@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago

For me it's a bit too perfect. A human could definitely have achieved the same result, but I'm not sure someone who would spend this much time perfecting an image like that would add the glow on the floor that seemingly comes from nowhere with no purpose.

I agree with you, detecting AI slop is becoming extremely hard for me. Sometimes, like in this example, you can ask for what purpose something was done. Why is the underglow in there, and where does the light come from? A human staring at this image for at least a handful of hours would have made decisions about it, someone generating the image wouldn't really think about it and just go "eh looks cool".

[–] Malica@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

It's getting much harder to tell, for me it's like somebody put the smoothness on max, like it's too polished.

[–] ultrafastsloth@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago

Implausible design/architecture and scale. I don’t believe anyone would go in so much lengths to build this so cleanly in this style just for few likes on a shitpost (although, I admit some people are crazy committed) Prompting an AI is easier and cheaper. So, most likely AI slop.

[–] NotSteve_@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

Slop always kinda has an uncanny look to it to me

For me it’s because it looks too much like a headphone. If you look at the seat, it basically has the headphone controls on it which makes no sense.

If a human was to make this, it would be a toilet that looks like a bose headphone. But instead it looks like headphone components morphed into a toilet.

I wasn't sure, so I checked the comments. My suspicions where raised because it seemed like a lot of image editing effort for the joke and also the glass looked wrong-ish.

[–] pineapplelover@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Oh yeah, that glass typically has 2 panels for sliding

[–] Kanda@reddthat.com 1 points 1 day ago

Sometimes they don't, happened in my hotel room once. Water just got on the floor for no reason and the drain was slow

Don't slop believing...

that toilet seat looks comfy ngl

[–] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Until the padding material starts to dissolve.

[–] Katana314@lemmy.world 3 points 22 hours ago

Didn't think I'd be giving useful advice in a shitpost, but you can actually replace the foam pad of a BOSE headset. I've done it before, and it made it a lot nicer for the forseeable future.

[–] darthsundhaft@piefed.social 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Japan really has thought of everything now, haven't they?

[–] Hawk@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago

Their toilets do play sounds and music to cancel out those other sounds

also, to hell with this AI slop shit. All memes now should include a second pane that includes the process workflow, including Photoshop/GIMP layers if applicable. I want to see your work!

That’s why this is an intentionally terrible crop of an otherwise very popular and well-known meme.

Alright cowboy you got it

Shit

Perfect, not one flaw. Super Intelligence indeed! ~dontlooktooclose~

[–] HerbalGamer@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 day ago (4 children)

You wasted resources on removing the glow and adding something I could've done in Paint. Good job.

I hate padded seats, gross.

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.today 14 points 1 day ago

Wow! A silent shitpost.

[–] gatitaQwQ@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

It’d be really uncomfortable to use. It’d be like sitting on headphones, but with more texture. Doing your business on that would be pretty unpleasant.

[–] foodandart@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

It would become REALLY unpleasant once the "pleatherette" coating on the seat starts to disintegrate and stick to your skin, like the ear cushions do.

For the premium prices they charge for their kit, Bose plastics break down pretty damn quick.

I've got a pair of Denon cans (AH-D210s) from 1998 with cords that are as supple and nice as the day they were bought (ofc the pads have been replaced multiple times since the foam always goes flat first) and the plastic on my Bose earbud wires disintegrated within 18 months.. Color me unimpressed.

Ugh.

[–] gatitaQwQ@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 23 hours ago)

Ugh, that sounds awful. My headphones always break down before I can replace them, so I really hope that doesn’t happen with these ones. It’s ridiculous that Bose products can deteriorate so quickly, especially considering how expensive they are. As always, AI is making strange pictures :P

[–] ThePyroPython@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Look guys, I hate slop as much as the next commenter, but maybe if we overwhelmed the image market with shitposts that damaged IP and brands reputation they'd be forced to regulate copyrighted material use so these fuckers can't steal shit and put out slop?

there are so many ways the monkey's paw can curl in this scenario

[–] content_educator_94@thelemmy.club 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Yes

I've honestly thought that taking the visible impact of copyright infringement

(and turning it up to eleven and keeping it there,)

might eventually create pressure from corporations on governments for the regulation of unrestricted use of AI to generate images

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

Try spinning, that's a neat trick!

[–] lemmygarden@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

I haven't sat on a cushioned toilet seat in a long time

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Right assed only toilet?

Or there is a left toilet right next to it?
