I've never had cornbread. It looks like a sponge cake to me. Makes this look a little strange.
Sweet cornbread is similar to a sponge cake but southern cornbread is not sweet and serves more as a blank canvas to sop up the juices of the meal it accompanies.

Cornbread usually looks drier and crumblier than that in my experience.
Whooooo weeeeeeee darlin, depends whatcha lookin fo. That boxed stuff always comes out cheaper den a 2 cent ho with a 1 cent paint job. But if ya Eva get a chance to try grandma Emma's cornbread, it's tastes as if Jesus himself gave you mana straight outta heaven.
