it's going well! the ciorcal comhrá that was supposed to begin was postponed until next week, but the irish class went ahead as planned & the new teacher seems great!
i'm neglecting my grammar learning & revision, but have been enjoying reading some YA books in irish & am getting to the stage where i can comfortably watch some tv programmes without irish subtitles too. progress tends to feel slower around this stage, but logically i know i'm still inching towards B2 level🤞
It's not good.
8 out of 22 on a mock exam for the grammar section. That hurts when it's the section I've spent the most time on, by an order of magnitude even, maybe. I just didn't end up getting the memorization I needed from going through the book. Or maybe I haven't been reading enough, I don't know. It's a panic move, and probably too late at this point, but I'm building an Anki supplement for the forms that aren't comfortable. Just under 11 weeks remaining.
I'm doing a full mock exam in two week's time; I'll have a better read on where I sit with whole exam then. Would be wild if my reading and listening scores were better than my grammar considering how I felt when I started this whole thing.
Crawling my way back again. For whatever reason, everything is harder to start. I'm mostly successful, but it's still very difficult despite so.
Depression has been hard this year. Nothing causing it either, no idea what that's about.
Back again after a long break (with some lazy anki deck learning, I nearly caught up to my backlog of repeat cards)
It’s going well! I found a helpful free app that allows me to work on my pronunciation by recording sounds, words, and phrases and comparing them against recordings of a native speaker. I haaaaate the sound of my own voice and this practice makes me less shy to speak out loud.

VDAB Uitsprekend (it’s specifically for Dutch pronunciation though).
I'm beginning to feel like I "miss" my old study routine (Anki and textbooks). So I'll probably be starting that back up this week.
Because I've been neglecting Anki, I have 700+ words to review to get back on track lol. Ah well, I'll work through that and start learning new vocab too.

I don't know what level that puts me at, especially because short quippy remarks are easier than the whole indirect / subjunctive/ relative clause thing I SHOULD be doing at B1. But I still feel like this is something I never thought I'd be able to do just a year ago.
