My experience with "halal" places is that they are extra delicious. As an athiest, I couldn't care less about the religious aspect.
Halal meat is often preferable even for non-Muslims because it has a higher standard of hygiene in the slaughter and butchering process.
I just like what they tend to cook with it :)
A halal bacon cheeseburger is a thing of beauty. I can't wait for halal American BBQ to make it up to my area.
halal .. bacon?
Beef bacon 🥓
Is turkey halal?
Yes, if it’s slaughtered right. Turkey bacon is a fixture in after pub kebab/pizza takeaways.
I know chicken is, so I would assume so. Don't know for sure
Religion has taught me you can justify anything as long as you torture the source material enough.
Or you can just use non-pork bacon lmao.
I love when food gets all fusion - korean tacos. I want halal BBQ now, hells yeah.
People complain about "authenticity" - I'm excited when people combine foods. It's the shitty old "authentic" stuff that's boring. Most places used to eat, like porridge centuries ago. lol (not everywhere, and a lot of places did decently with what they had, but man, today? We have so many amazing things)
That's why Vietnamese is my favorite food on earth. French cooking techniques with southeast asian ingredients.
They're putting the HALAL in our FOOD! Think of the CHILDREN!
/s
oh, they do think of the children, just...... not in a good way
