This started happening way before 2010 but the overall point still stands.
Omg it's true. Everything has to be a subscription
Last time I went to a car wash, they were pushing the subscription shit, sure, but it was still easily possible to just do a one time wash.
Not like I do it often, though really. Most of my cars get washed exactly once: right before I sell them.
Meanwhile my self service car wash in RO is $2 per wash ($0.5 per coin which you get I think 2 minutes of pressure washing from)
Watch out for forest fires, because you torched this straw man.
