I’m not convinced my cat doesn’t support facism.

Cats are anarcho-monarchists (if more than one cat present)

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 3 points 5 days ago

If you want to get technical, they're archaeo-galacto-imperialists, because they still worship the Old Gods from Afar, and continue to serve the unbroken dynasties that sprung from the Old Gods' loins in the days when humanity was still just a bunch of single-celled organisms cruising through space on frozen asteroids.

Of course, they serve as deified emissaries of the Old Gods, giving them a position in the universe incomprehensibly far above us lesser beings who have never even heard of the Old Gods and have no clue where "Afar" even is. But it is a service they render with great pride and deference!

And you can easily prevent all the damage to the local environment by just keeping your cat inside.

[–] devaly@ani.social 16 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Poops all over your house? Brother I think you forgot about litterboxes.

[–] Natanox@discuss.tchncs.de 27 points 6 days ago (4 children)

When cats are stressed (usually meaning they're either really sick or you've screwed up) they may poop anywhere. Also an issue with kittens who haven't learned it yet.

That's why it's only a little (🤏) problematic. :D

My cat is a long hair and sometimes gets a dingleberry stuck. Sometimes we catch it before it drops off somewhere in the house… sometimes it’s a surprise. Oh the joys of pet ownership.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 13 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I'm sure somewhere in time a cat has been partially responsible for deleting a database. It's just another thing to knock over.

There are definitely cats who would support Trump.

[–] huppakee@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago

Well as long as they're not allowed to vote we should be fine.

[–] ns1@feddit.uk 12 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Surely chances are there has been at least one incident of a cat taking out a production database

[–] Natanox@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 6 days ago

I looked for red checkmarks to show what's good and what's bad, but those don't exist.

Cats destroy Environment 🤏 (only if outdoors, even my cat's litter is biodegradable and 100% natural - corn + cassava)

also, I can't confirm that cats don't support facism lol

[–] Alberat@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

if you subscribe to cats premium, you get 2 extra tbs

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

checkmark and cross being both green throws me off,... why...? also why are the symbols diferent on either side of this comparison?

[–] TheWordBotcher@lemmy.world 5 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I'm reading it as green symbols are positive whether a check or an 'x' and non-green are negative.

[–] Natanox@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

That was the attempt. Unfortunately there are no red checkmarks.

Yes, but cats want cardboard boxes and datacenters dont so we do have a valid argument here to not replace datacenters with cats.
