This whole Alvarez situation is making me annoyed and a bit sour on the player....not to mention he's Argentinian. Like if you don't want to come here, suck it up, acknowledge your contract with Atleti and wait the year for Barca then.

And it doesn't help that it seems that him out of position is basically to replace Martinelli at least in terms of numbers. Like, sure, he's good, but are we really sure this is a good idea?

All signs seem to point to Martinelli being on his way out. Going to be so sad to see him go after 7 years with us. He's a true OG of this team.

Fuck it. I'm gonna say it. We should just loan in Mudryk. At worst, he's gonna be a Sterling, and we'll just give the minutes to Eze and Madueke. At best, he could become the player Arteta wanted years back. And also he'd probably be dying to come here.

Like, is there any better winger who's actually on the market? Every name I've read about has not actually been someone who's available. And it looks like Gabi's going, and I don't think Tzolis alone can play all the 60 something games. And I don't feel comfortable having Eze and Madueke take those minutes when they have other spots to cover for players whom we absolutely need to keep fit who struggled with injuries last season and are just returning to form. Nwaneri maybe, but I don't think he's even really played LW much.

Only other options in the squad for LW are Jesus and Nelson and both oughta leave this summer. So we probably need someone. And I haven't seen any other name really. Plus a loan like Chelsea seems to want would let us go for a superstar next summer.
