Golden chain tree in bloom. This tree is not native to New Zealand, but the similar native Kōwhai (Sophora microphyllia) is famous for its bright yellow, bell-shaped flowers that bloom in early spring.
Shot this morning in Sheffield. Neighbour’s tree.

Nice shot!

When I search up Golden Chain trees, they have hanging "chains" that this one doesn't. Are there different varieties?

E.g.picture of golden chain trees, many trees with hanging down yellow parts (possibly flowers?). Imagine similar to a willow

Hopefully an expert in NZ native and exotic trees comes along!
