Also, with Kid Rock being MAGA, Eminiem being anti-Trump Dem, and ICP being antifa, current US politics pretty much just are late 90s Detroit rap based.

really one of the most amazing things to me about the whole rapid decay of the American Empire is that Juggalos did SUCH a face turn.
MMFCL Ninjas.

I think this is also a reminder that people can always try to redeem themselves, and we should allow people to do so.
Too many times I've heard "once a maga, always a magat!" Yeah, magats suck donkey balls but a lot of them have been learning and improving and we should applaud that. I want more magats to become ex magat.
you’re right of course, but i think part of the sentiment behind “once a maga, always a magat” is that often people in the MAGAsphere don’t actually admit that the original premise is wrong, or change their way of thinking, or develop critical thinking skills: they just get personally burned…
changing how you ingest and process information about the world is a very hard thing to do, and few “reformed MAGAs” have likely done that work… we should applaud them for leaving their current cult, but the next one right around the corner might grab them just as hard
Peoples politics, like their gender,is fluid. It can change over time.
As long as it changes to "let's be better for everyone" and not "let's be better for me myself and I" like the average Republican
Yeah, Scott Biao can eat shit!
yaknow, lots of people make fun of juggalos, but most of the ones ive met have been incredibly caring people that don't judge lol
They seem to be mostly kind hearted folk that are about the (actual, not proverbial) filthiest humans on the planet.
Like they're gross AF but friendly too. It's certainly a weird subculture but I'd hang out with a juggalo over a MAGA bro any day of the week.
IME juggalos are usually people who were or would be maga culturally but are disgusted by the lack of empathy that defines maga. They're the kind of people who grew up with a confederate flag on their wall but take it down in disgust when they make their first black friend and somebody explains to them for the first time that the flag is a hate symbol
I wouldn't say they're that culturally - socioeconomically more.
Willingness to admit he grew up is something refreshing to see happen.
I hope he updates his views on magnets as well
Fucking rainbows after it rains...
That's what big magnetite wants you to think
And scientists.
A few friendly reminders:
It is OK to be wrong. Smart and kind people will not think less of you for being wrong. They WILL think less of you if you dig in your heels despite being presented evidence that proves you wrong.
It is OK to change your opinion or view when given new information. This is how we grow as a species.
In full honesty people change. This isn't to forgive negative actions but also not chastise someone to eternity for the mistakes they have made so long as they have changed and are putting in the work to undo the harm they caused. We individually and ultimately as a society need forgiveness. To be human is to error and I personally don't want a part in any community who can not manage the humility to forgive.
A lot of younger people don't realize how far we've come on gay rights in a very short period.
In 1989 84% of Americans were opposed to gay marriage. It didn't break 50% support until 2012. By 2024 it was nearly 70% in support, and all 50 states are now over 50%.
Most of us growing up in the 80s and 90s thought homosexuality was wrong. It didn't feel like we were prejudiced assholes at the time though.
We now know we were wrong, and many of us have worked to make things better. And young people need to accept the fact that we were wrong and have changed.
There's something else we're all wrong about now. An unacceptable prejudice we don't recognize because we don't feel like we're biggots. I don't know what it is and I may never get over it, but the next generation will look back and realize they were wrong about something. And the only way to move on will be to accept they were wrong, forgive themselves, and make the world better.
It's how we improve as a society.
Gay rights. Women's rights. Minority rights. There are people alive today who went to segregated schools and, if they had a vagina, couldn't open a checking account.
These things are being actively scrubbed from history by people who desperately want to go back to those "good old days". Sadly, it is working much better than it should.
It's backlash to progress. There's always backlash, and we'll always have times when we fall back. But in the last 60 years we've taken 5 steps forward for every step back on these issues and we're gonna win this fight.
Grew up as a hardcore republican in South Texas. Moved to southern Louisiana and quickly realized, nope not republican, just highly misguided. I was wrong. I admit it to everyone. Now as time has passed, staunch socialist. Such as life.
You are my kin
I cringe remembering how i would use Rush Limbaugh talking points in the mid 90s. Grew up in redneck central. Realized how shitty my views were when i got around people different from me in college. There is hope for all of the world's dumbasses.
