Almost like there’s one party and the “actual” parties are just Punch and Judy.

[–] Awooooooga@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I mean, from the outside looking in, sorry dude absolutely not. Punch or Judy or one of them anyway has lost their fucking mind and even though they do not differ on economic policy all that appreciably much they absolutely do differ on many very important things! Such as not dismantling the US economic and military empire, throwing immigrants in concentration camps, or actively threatening the sovereignty of NATO allies. If you are American, you do a disservice to the world by pretending they are the same party. Sadly, the world cannot vote. It is up to Americans to elect a government that will not destabilize the entire planet. Please do the rest of us a solid thx!

Losing the race to the bottom isn’t the flex you think it is.

God bless AOC, Mamdani, and El-Sayed.

Go to hell, Joe, Hilary, and Kamala.

That's because there is no left and right. That's all for show. The real fight isn't the culture war, that's just a distraction. The real war is the class war. The only ones actually fighting the class war are the progressives. The only group whose interest is actually the citizens they represent and not just the elite are the progressives and if they get power they will show everyone how shit everything has been. That's the real threat.

Exactly.

Vote DSA or vote Green. A vote for a Republican or a "centrist" is wasted.

[–] tootoughtoremember@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago (2 children)

vote Green

But we still have two more years before Jill Stein emerges from her cocoon

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 week ago

You mean her Russian nesting doll?

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

she's not in a cocoon. she's out doing actual activism.

[–] tootoughtoremember@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Well if she's the face of the Green Party as their presidential candidate three times, she might want to try doing some actual politics

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com -1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

the media could stop icing her out

[–] tootoughtoremember@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They could, but why would they do something so counter to their owners' financial interests?

Wishcasting for a media apparatus that will provide an even playing field isn't much of a strategy either.

[–] commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago

I'm just going to keep backing candidates that I like

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

DNC and republicans have the same masters. We should just stop wasting our time talking to the "assistant managers" that are either party and just talk to AIPAC directly.

"The third way" almost always means fascism.

[–] dudinax@programming.dev 3 points 1 week ago

Third way trying to comment a war where none exist

[–] Draegur@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 week ago

YES, MAKE THOSE LIBERAL CENTRIST COWARDS FIGHT. FORCE THEM TO SQUANDER EVERYTHING STRUGGLING IN VAIN.

[–] Avicenna@programming.dev 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

gee I wonder if that money could be better spent, like declaring war against, I don't know...maybe Trump? Just an idea.

But no go ahead and spend all that money to ease your fears of losing your seats. How much of that money comes from Zionist lobbies and weapon manufacturers btw?

[–] K1nsey6@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

They won't declare war on him because they condone his actions
