lived in England for years, it's very common to push all the headstone to the side of the field and turn it into a playground.
not like those corpses are going to complain.
It's not common, it was part of a big revamp in the 19th century when overcrowding and grossly unsanitary burial conditions pushed them to the development of the Magnificent Seven and other mitigations
I did not do a survey, just lived in northern England, seen a few of those, and definitely never seen them in any other country.
Yes, lets create a digging ground for kids on the ole graveyard. Literally cant go tits up.

Kids do tend to make 6 foot holes in the non sandbox part of playgrounds, totally normal children behaviour in parks.

it's England, every town has countless historical graveyards of people who died centuries ago, might as well do something useful with that green space.
Think a toddler moving fast enough down that slide could crack a grave marker?
