I found it hard to believe no major motion picture was ever shot in the Dominican Republic. According to a quick search, The Godfather Part 2, Jurassic Park, Apocalypse Now, and Miami Vice all had filming locations in DR

Interesting. The Last Samurai was shot in Taranaki, which is the bulgy bit on the west side of New Zealand's North Island. The part with no dots on it. They had filming locations around the region as well as studio sets.

I guess that means the filming locations are not on wiki data?

You should add it! Best part of wikis are our ability to improve the knowledge pool.

I'd love to but I don't know the exact locations, I just remember Tom Cruise being around when I was a kid 😆. That part of the island has a volcano in the middle that is the same kind of volcano as Mt Fuji, but it's surrounded by a national park so was a better filming location than the actual Mt Fuji because it looks more like Mt Fuji did in the time period the movie is set in.

I did look at the page which I guess is this one, and I have no idea how I might go about adding a location even if I knew where the exact locations were!
