I dunno. Have you see outside? Settings are too high and causes lag.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 1 points 1 hour ago

Also there is insufficient cooling.

Alternate take: how my current PC looks at me.

How the grass at my house is currently looking

[–] empireOfLove2@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

There's a drought on, watering grass is a total waste

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 2 points 21 hours ago

That drought will not ever end

The state of our grass rn and we live in the alps (almost). The only green parches are under the trees and behind the house where the shade is.

I'm so lucky I picked up a prebuilt 2 years back. First prebuilt I've ever bought, but I didn't think I could match the i5-1440, 4060, 32GB DDR5, 1TB NVME with mobo, case, and power supply for less than the $700 price tag.

Can't remember ever building a PC or buying any electronic toy and having it be worth more after 2 years of use. o_O

Ooh, thats a really good deal. Do you have any info about the PSU? Pre-builts tend to have cheapest PSUs possible

[–] Abyssian@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

I'll admit the PSU and case are things I never bothered looking in to. I've run the CPU at 100% for over 14 hours straight and maxed the GPU for hours pushing normal games into VR though with no power issues.

A 4060 isn't really enough to push games at the insane 6kx6k needed to get them looking good in VR, so that was definitely more of a stress test than any normal gaming. :)

Oh, okay, nice to hear that it has been good for you. The PSU is seriously quite important, if you want to keep the pc for a long time. With these component prices I would recommend looking into it as it's probably the cheapest form of insurance

few other real life things to try out:

-books are also better content than youtube and with no ads

-learning to play your favourite song on your favorite instrument is like games if they were on ultra hard mode

I guess then it's time for Leisure Suit Larry on a secondhand Raspberry Pi.

"The gameplay is tedious, plot is boring, and the graphics could use some work. 2/10 would not recommend."

It gets so much easier if you pay for premium, though!
