You must post before you leave
Be nice. Assume others have good intent (within reason).
Block or ignore posts, comments, and users that irritate you in some way rather than engaging. Report if they are actually breaking community rules.

Most 196 posts are memes, shitposts, cute images, or even just recent things that happened, etc. There is no real theme, but try to avoid posts that are very inflammatory, offensive, very low quality, or very "off topic".
Bigotry is not allowed, this includes (but is not limited to): Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, Sexism, Abelism, Classism, or discrimination based on things like Ethnicity, Nationality, Language, or Religion.

Moderator Guidelines
Moderator Guidelines
- Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
- Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
- When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
- Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
- Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
- Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
- Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
- Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
- Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
- Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
- Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
- Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
- First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
- Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
- No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
- Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
- Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
Happy to be on the team and together we are unstoppable o7
Im fully banned from Reddit AND made this list on Lemmy?? wishes really do come true

I'm not on the list :(
Maybe they just didn’t get around to you just yet until they got caught. You’re still welcomed in the banned club ^_^
<3
Its open source, make a pull request!
Others said that the list itself is not open source. The code loads the list from a source that is not open.
Of course I could change the location from which the list is loaded...
How it feels knowing they needed to an approach to silencing you:

I felt my power level rise with this gif! Thank you my friend
I didn't make the list. I think this is a sign to up my posting game
Right? What's a girl gotta do?
Congrats!
I got regex-ed so I'm guaranteed to be in the list forever. I'll try my best to stay there and to be added again if for any reason I become a velociraptor. We need to open a community of cool people who are on the list just to piss the snowflakes.
I absolutely love this idea! ~(つˆ0ˆ)つ。☆
You could try "most certainly not a velociraptor"?
That's it, I'm posting about Tesseract all over the fediverse until I get my own! 😤
I genuinely wonder how the hell are you not on the list. You are basically everything this guy seems to hate in one single person. How did they miss you up?!
I don't really post outside of blåhaj, which is why I need to break out of this bubble if I want to be noticed.
Pride month might be over but I'm carrying it over and promoting it to hubris year, best list I've found myself on since 2011, when I've been added to The Game immunity list.
I feel like I need context. Who's banning people?
Here is one of the post that should shed some light on the situation.
https://lemmy.world/post/49778547
Basically a Dev who made tesseract which is a front end for fir many web UI’s and apps shadowbanned users, communities, and key words and had it buried deep in the options and code and I believe they have stated that you could always revert back to having to go through advanced options and turn back on “toxic” mode.
This was found out out by some very savvy users and db0 community members. It seems that this Dev just made a list of things that they did not like and communities they didn’t like and decided to push it towards everyone else using their software without explicit notice. I think they have taken down their website due to the backlash and I’m having trouble finding the post where they were explaining themselves, but it seemed like it was heavily banning leftist, trans, socialist, anarchist communities and some odd ones like girlsofthefrontline ( basically anime women characters).
This list of all this randomness and banning of users and shadow banning them reeks of somebody who had a little too much time on their hands and was trying to force their own agenda, secretly and silence a lot of people without letting people know upfront, who are using their software that this was going on.
But I’m just a nerd and I dabble a little bit and here and there but that’s the gist of it. This and piefeds similar shenanigans Is just a reminder that even though it is fast that we need to be constantly on guard and protect our little part of the Internet :)
Scientists alarmed as one developer's skin confirmed to be thinner than the Planck length
I'm on the list, does this mean I'm "based"?
I’m totally stealing that Planck joke lol and you my friend are based^1.6 × 10⁻³⁵^
Oh holy shit. My whole instance is on there.
Did Tesseract block things for users using that front end, or does having it installed somehow prevent federation from occurring/users on lemmy-ui seeing your posts?

Here’s a good PSA that was just posted not too long ago. That explains how deep it goes. It gets a whole lot worse than I thought.
Pretty much didn’t tell anybody what was going on and so users and admin had no idea unless you really dug in deep and look up at the code.
Where do you check the ban list? It looks like the repository was deleted.
Here’s a link to the list https://copyparty.adrian.place/u/?doc=policy.json
Yay! I'm there
Welcome to the club my friend! ಠᴗಠ
i got banned not only by my main account but also my All tomorrows meme one so technically John tomorrows the author of the book got banned by reddit
Now that got a chuckle out of me thank you and glad to be amongst good company
Omg so cool :3 :3
Holy shit. I'm on the list too. And I really didn't think I'd done anything noteworthy on the fediverse yet.
