Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Disgusting transphobia. This is what happens when you put bigots in charge of human rights organisations.

The question is rather if brits will end demagogue politics. Putting anyone else than themselves is the problem.

finally the UK education system teaches the truth.

That the country is run by vile out of touch old cunts who don't give a shit about people.

Washrooms are such an odd obsession. Just make single occupancy toilets , it’s more space efficient

While I do hold the opinion that gender neutral, individually lockable toilet rooms with a mirror and a washbasin etc are the ideal future proof approach for bathrooms pretty much everywhere, I must acknowledge that it is a pretty big undertaking to retrofit existing bathroom facilities into that design.

Though why everyone seems so eager to just throw trans folks to the dogs instead is beyond me.

As a society, we so often want our solutions to be completely elegant and perfect. Life isn’t perfect, situations are messy, details get missed.

every washroom doesn’t need to be perfectly gendered neutral and retrofitted to be “compliant”. We can just build a couple of stalls where anyone can go and use the stall for whatever reason. Public washrooms are already the worst most uncomfortable place in the world.

The larger issue imo is that we are wasting way too much time and energy talking about where people should take a shit. It’s a fucking washroom. Can we please move on?

You don’t have to like or be friends with trans people, just leave them alone.

Edit: I mean the greater “you”, not meant to be an attack

I sincerely hope every FTM uses every opportunity to go into public ladies toilets, belching, farting and speaking to the other occupants in their most practiced deep voice.

Added bonus if you stand in the cubicle and use your hard-earned, shiny new dong and accidentally piss on the seat.

As funny as that sounds in highlighting the hypocrisy of it all, it opens them up to harassment and verbal or physical abuse from phobes.

This isn't it. The new guidance for adults gives places the right to refuse trans people from accessing the spaces that match their agab as well as excluding them from sources that match their real gender. The UK is rapidly forcing trans people into segregated 3rd spaces which literally don't exist. Essentially forcing us out of public life altogether.

Plus as another commenter mentioned, this would just put them in more danger if they did what you suggested.

Britain needs to stop being sooo transphobic.
