then one day at a play date my friend's mom got everyone ice cream truck ice cream and I learned, damn, mom was right, she buys way more premium shit to keep at home. lol

mom was a 90s step aerobics health nut, so she wasn't gonna waste dessert calories on anything but the best haha

As a kid I would've picked #13, but as an adult I'd probably take #26 or #27 because the cone would've kept the melting treat from spilling onto my hands.

This brings back memories. Swimming in the pool, having a blast, then hearing the music of the ice cream truck approaching... Everyone jumps out, grabs their towels, and goes searching for pocket change, hoping to find enough before the truck gets too far...

I once chased the ice cream truck around my neighborhood on a bike. In retrospect, I think the driver was fucking with me, but I eventually got it (and probably burned off enough calories to make up for it.)

I also remember seeing random kids on the ride-alongs. Always the popular kids. I was jealous, but nowadays it gives me pause. I hope those little girls (and boys) were safe riding in the truck alone with the ice cream vendor...

It was all about the push-ups for me. But only if they are the kind with a plastic plunger in a cardboard tube.
