I had a fever dream where I was drifting in and out of consciousness, and it carried on over me like a steamroller for a whole 24 hours.

I dreamt I had an extra sister, who was fully realised in every detail, and I received a phone call (where I was IRL in my waking moments) telling me that she'd died in a car crash.

I remember every detail, down to how she pinched my favourite necklace when I was 12, how I covered for her when she snuck a boy in the house one time, and how it was my fault she died because I helped her pick which car to buy. I should have held out for one with better safety features.

And if I think about her it feels exactly like I'm grieving a real person, even though this was a long time ago.

I still miss you, Joanne.

I had a dream that spanned maybe 40 years. I fell in love, married a woman with thick blond hair and green eyes, grew into our early retirement years and then suddenly, she died. I was heart broken. It happened so fast in the dream, I think it was cancer or some other sickness that took her. I woke up sobbing and confused. It took me a solid hour of laying there processing what just happened before i could get up and start my life again.

Skydiving with the Queen (she was still alive at the time).

I had a hilarious dream just last night! Remember recently when Quentin Tarantino was talking shit about the acting skills of Paul Dano? I dreamt that Paul was in a new movie, and was acting hard, like, really giving it insane levels of energy, and after every line he delivered he'd glance at the camera with an expression of exasperation on his face, as if to say "is THAT good enough for you, ya cunt??" directly to Tarantino.

i dream a lot. it makes me talk to other people that are far away and get their opinion, etc. but none specifically that i could list today, because most of them are rather private.

I was with Captain Janeway, being chased by Nazis through and on top of a train for stealing their marijuana plants. I don't ever remember my dreams. I vividly remember that one.

I rarely dream but im old. I had a reoccurring nightmare as a kid where im home alone for some reason and two men are trying to kidnap or kill me. and no im not trying to make a joke about home alone. I actually had it. various flying ones which go from being able to just jump far and various in between states to actually flying. oh another re occuring at some point is im in the house I was raised in but its all like twisted up. like some fantasy things where rooms that are not connected to each other are and its like extensive tunnels. its hard to explain. like some sort of bad trip although I have never had a trip so im guessing but kinda feels like some 70's funky animation. nothing else springs to mind. keep in mind these are things from about 50 years so like I rarely have memorable dreams.

I recently dreamt vividly that I ate something. I didn't know I could feel taste in my dreams

Right and the annoying thing about those dreams is that your brain never seems to utilise those features ever again, only once. When i dream, a 4D cinematic experience would be nice! Does make nightmares worse, though.

In June 2022, I applied for the job that I’ve held for some time now.

Roughly a week after I submitted my application, I got a call offering me an interview, and the interview slot itself was about a week after the call, so about two weeks after the date I applied.

During the week leading up to the interview, I had a very vivid dream in which I woke up somewhere out in the countryside in Ukraine, as a foreign volunteer fighting for Ukraine.

I wasn’t worried about seeing combat or getting hurt or dying. I was primarily worried that I was going to miss out on my job interview.

I killed a certain politician with a lamp.

Best dream I ever had.

One time I had a dream, completely forgot about it when I woke up... Went back to sleep again and had the exact same dream, when I saw a window I had broken the first time, I experienced intense deja Vu and remembered that I'd been here before.

Probably the one where I was running along an esoteric highway faster than all the cars, before falling into a kaleidoscope and crashing into the moon.

Oh did you mean in real life? Probably throwing away all of my technology to live in a cabin in the woods

I dreamed that I owed someone an apology for something I had said to them in a dream.

[–] FinjaminPoach@lemmy.world 1 points 13 minutes ago

I have to say i think i've allowed dreams to influence my relationships with people.

I went to town and saw Mariah Carey as a bus driver waving at me which later on in my dream, I told my mum which we had an arguement if Mariah Carey was even in the UK let alone a bus driver.

Lots of my dreams are interesting for some definition of the word.

One minor thing that's fascinating is trying to read text on signs because if I look away and look back, the sign almost always says something else. Absolutely no temporal permanence. It's a dead giveaway that I'm in a dream.

One bigger thing that's always stuck with me is spatial weirdness. I had a dream as a kid which may have been based on a memory of being a baby and being carried from room to room, but there were five right-angled left turns each into different rooms with about the same amount of distance before each turn. It's easy to speculate what actually happened without violating Euclidean geometry if it was a memory-turned-dream, but it left my child self feeling fascinated and confused, because the last room should have been the first one, but it wasn't.

In a similar vein, and more recently, I found myself in a village or small town somewhere and I came to a T junction and knew I had to turn the third direction that was neither left nor right.

Probably the one where I was on a space station that was being constructed around a purple star somewhere in Orion, 400 years from now. Half of it was exposed to space behind an invisible forcefield and honestly it was the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen and I felt no fear from being that close to space. Pieces of the hull transported into place like Star Trek transporter style as it was being constructed. There were also time and space portals on there too that looked like Mini Star gates that people were coming in and out of like an airport today.

Good question. Can't think of any of the top of my head. What about you?

My daydreams scenarios include a different planet, basically a second Earth so I can live there in order to be finally at peace and happy. Or me being a famous actor/musician/artist/performer so I could bring joy to people.
My interesting sleep-dreams are just nightmares based on memories.
