Looking to play some games with a friend who has a really trash laptop. Browser games seem like the only way of doing that. If any of you all have suggestions let me know. Could be any genre (except maybe puzzle games?), as long as it is multiplayer in some way. I think they like cute games but it doesn't actually matter. ideally doesnt require making an account to play (but if it is good enough I might). If you have any ideas, post it in the comments.

https://openfront.io/ is like a very simplified HoI4. It's quite fun. Ultimus_Rex makes videos about the game if you want to see some gameplay.

Also, older games should play on a poor laptop just fine. Starcraft: Brood War, Halo: CE, Battlefield 1942 (shout out to the Desert Combat mod), Civ V, Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, Warcraft III, Diablo II, Rise of Nations.

I'm making a bomberman game specifically for cases like these but it's still in development... I think it's playable but there will be some bugs. groundedraven.com

.io games are a good place to try. I like surviv.io

Also discord built in games are an option. The Catan knockoff is fun
